Encourage Me

Discouragement will be par for the course when one is in a game for the long haul. There will be ups and downs. There may be things to release that will not be going forward with us on the journey.

I wonder…have you felt discouraged as of late?

Sometimes, we set out from the gate at great speed and excitement on a new venture only to meet our first obstacle, hardship, or disappointment not too far down the path. However, my friend, when the discouragement sets in, this is the time to take a deep breath, lean into God or your Higher Power and trust the process. It will be a wild ride and so worth it.

Accepting the frustrating or discouraging days will be an important skill in your toolkit. There will be days like this on any new adventure.

I write to keep daydream believers encouraged as we slog through the mud sometimes. I have met one or two obstacles as of late as well. But I also know that the courage to keep going and begin again tomorrow is key to making dreams come true, no matter what size.

Remember that the dream was planted in your heart by God, and therefore the sustainable power to keep going in the face of roadblocks and disappointment also comes from God. The thing in the way is the way. It’s not an indication to give up.

The tonic for today: The dream is planted in you by your Creator. The courage to keep going comes from the same place. The thing in the way is the way.
